Born Guy Joseph Jutras on March 22, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Involved in many facets of the fight game, Jutras was the 1950 Maritime Provinces Golden Gloves and 1951 Royal Canadian Navy welterweight champion, an undefeated professional boxer (5-0), a judge (1980-2011), referee (1969-1997), television commentator and radio host (1997-2009) and co-founder and assistant matchmaker for Interbox Promotions (1997-2002). He has also worked in various capacities with the World Boxing Association (WBA) including Chairman of Judges and Referees (1997-2010), Championship and Executive Committees (1998 to present, Chairman of Officials (1997-2010), ringside supervisor (2009-2017) and Executive Committee member.
As a judge he scored such bouts as Marvelous Marvin Hagler vs. Roberto Duran, Wilfredo Gomez vs. Rocky Lockridge, Barry McGuigan vs. Steve Cruz, Vinny Paz vs. Gilbert Dele, Pernell Whitaker vs. Julio Cesar Vasquez, Paulie Ayala vs. Johnny Tapia I and Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez I. Jutras was third man in the ring for contests involving Wilfred Benitez, Vito Antuofermo, Trevor Berbick, Eusebio Pedroza, Juan LaPorte, Donny LaLonde and Michael Spinks. As a judge and referee he has worked over 75 world championship bouts.
