THE INTERNATIONAL BOXING HALL OF FAME
REMEMBERS FLOYD LITTLE
CANASTOTA, NY – JANUARY 5, 2021 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame joins the sports community in mourning the loss of Syracuse University All-American, College Football Hall of Famer and Pro Football Hall of Famer Floyd Little, who passed away Friday at his home in Las Vegas. He was 78.
“Floyd Little was a football legend who was synonymous with greatness on the field and humility off the field. He made Syracuse and all of Central New York so proud,” said Hall director Ed Brophy. “We were saddened to learn the news of his passing and we offer our condolences to his family.”
Little attended several Boxing Hall of Fame Weekend events through the years and, in 2018, he attended the Boxing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony honoring his friend, broadcaster Jim Gray.
“It was a thrill for the legends of the ring and boxing fans to see him in Canastota. He was always so kind to everyone he interacted with,” said Brophy.
